The Urban Studies program gave me a phenomenal education that has been invaluable in my career in global health. The flexibility of the urban studies degree allowed me to take a combination of courses that taught me about the social, economic and political issues that affect health. In my work, I have been incredibly grateful for the ability to view the world and health issues in particular in a holistic manner, and the skills to think and write critically. I feel incredibly grateful for my urban studies education, and my professors and classmates who challenged me and guided me to succeed post graduation.
